Combat button to warm up the guns, gen / batt indicators on the dash to help with situational awareness, and an ammo count, so you know when to start looking for an exit. This is the Silure, a heavy duty miner / blockade runner It boasts 700 crates and is FAST : 150m/s empty and 139m/s when loaded with Lukium ( 27'000kg per crate ) The main goal of this ship is to be a ship that is going to allow you to mine in the most hostile of places. Those pirates waiting for you at the gate are in for a very very bad surprise It's main features are : - a heavy duty / mouse aiming defense system made of 14 autocanons + designators ( the red allows you to see them even on Elysium's belt ) - autopilot : set the waypoint, sit back and let the ship go by itself do it's destination autonomously ( uses a combination of Kompass / ISAN / Waypoint system / custom code ). The autopilot uses the AAS so as long as you are within ISAN range you can use it wherever - custom ground avoidance system - custom - good - AAS ( manages priorities for the top / bottom and left / right to prevent collisions on numerous and / or big objects ) - custom scanner that is fast, does not flash, can scan up to 8 different materials per object and does not require you to press 20 buttons+ to get it to work - custom warning system for generators / battery / radiators / propellant - advanced autonomy calculator ( the calculator gives the times but also the distance you can travel before having to refill the fuel and / or the rods ) - good range ( 2400 km approximatively but depends on how you use the ship => this information is given by the autonomy calculator ) - spare rods included in the BP - multiple different laser patterns for different use cases. 3 fixed and 2 that move and that are customisable without using the YOLOL ( configuration through memory chip ) - very very good manoeuvrability and top / down movements - very good reverse speed - fast travel included - 2 completelly fonctionnal cockpits to suit your needs / have redundancy - it looks cool ! 😁 Please note that unlike the Pangasius, the Silure puts a heavy emphasis on going through zones that are made dangerous due to players and is equiped adequatly to deal with them ^^ What to chat about it ? Be aware this ship is functional, but not super polished. Original Description: Tired of making multiple trips? Do you need something that can get through the belts intact? Want to make your friends envious of your supreme power? Dragon_Ventures has you covered! Introducing the DragonHoarder1136 (H) Designed from the ground up to be extremely durable, repairable, and to get your cargo to far away destinations safely. This ship is designed for big companies moving huge amounts, or wealthy solo players looking for the best on the market. The entry price is high, but the payoff is only a couple runs away! Build your hoard like a pro! Over 40 hours of Min-Maxing the editor's build limits has delivered this creation to reality. It features an enclosed engineering section to ensure your explody bits stay unexploded, and ablative beam structures on the front to keep your critical systems in working order for any chance impacts. Ducting is bolted double the normal amount to reduce time spend repairing. Crates are arranged in a protective buffer all around your core thruster and system. The Asteroid Avoidance YOLOL has been revamped to increase the effectiveness. The cross section was carefully maintained to ensure the ship can avoid threats before they even get into one of the 240+ rangefinders paths. The asteroid avoidance system is a "Pause and strafe" style system, it checks in 3 sections (top mid, bottom) and then strafes away from the detected threat. For Top and Bottom, it cuts forward power while it maneuvers, and resumes old thrust level once clear. For the middle section, it pitches the ship down slightly, and does not cut power to main engines (however this pitch may trigger the Top section power cut and strafe). after a short pause to allow the vector to change away from the middle detected threat, the ship resumes the old heading. Known shortcomings of the system as it stands are that it may strafe at low speed (<25 m-s) into a threat on the top or bottom in unlucky circumstance, but this is an edge case scenario, and the ship is robust enough to just bounce off these with little care. Features: -Avoidance YOLOL with dense checkerboard pattern for comprehensive coverage of threats. -Avoidance YOLOL display, designating when system is active, what action is being taken, stats for number of activations on current trip, and lifetime of ship. -1 20 ring Plasma main drive, with 92 supporting T2 Triangle thrusters. -24 T2 Triangle thrusters for PITCH, ROLL and Up-Down Strafe -NO BRAKES. ship is designed to point towards destination and let 'er rip. -147 M-s empty, strength 1.028 -135 M-s with common ores (14,000 weight) -126 M-s with Exorium (24,600 weight) -1136 capacity for ores. -Turtle, Cruise modes. -MONO Isan 2.5 -Transponder -High cable&pipe budget and still over 1000 bolts available for repairs. -Critical systems are able to be accessed in most cases for repair. Stuff that is not accessible is buried in crates and unlikely to be damaged. -3 resource ports. One for pilot and general use, 2 in engineer bays near back exit with in/out flow buttons for double duty as tanker (roughly 40 million propellent extra will remain once fuel rods are exhausted) -10 generator modules, with 6 t2 units per generator. -50 backup fuel rods, giving approx 2588 km range. -Open "air" control section, with double pane glass to avoid "asteroid-in-face" syndrome -2 passenger seats at the control section. -1 "suicide seat" on a pole at the rear. not protected by AA YOLOL. For those that have more bravery than sense, or do it for the memes. Nice views though! -Non default color scheme of Red, Black and gold. Subject to change from Images. Cost: Need more details? The DAMK5P is the latest edition of my everyday driver and a demonstration of the tools that the [NavSuite](https://github.com/Thaccus/Starbase-Nav-Suite) can provide. This function first ship has proven sturdy and reliable in the harshest conditions. They have been taken all over the universe: Elysium, Szellem, Alstel, Neso, Chemosh, Kumi, and more. From Elysium deathzones to wrangling asteroids in belts where you and the rocks are fighting gravity, this ship has seen it all. ## Software Features include: - Asteroid Avoidance: 0.2s response time code with prioritization should two opposing sides detect. It also comes with strafe arrest integration so that you stop drifting laterally after you are out of the way of the rocks. Feel free to grill me on this as safety is my number one concern. - Inertial Navigation: Ever want coordinates outside of the transmitter ranges? Want to be able to go straight back to zone 3 in a far moon belt without fuss? This ship does that. - Strafe Arrest: Does drifting laterally when you turn your ship while moving at max speed make you nervous? Worry no more, strafe arrest will quickly slow all lateral movement while maintaining forward speed. - ESTOP: How many other ships can park in gravity? This ship can do not only that, but also come to a full stop automatically regardless of your facing/velocity at the press of a button. - Vectored Speedometer: Basic speedometers are great, but this ship can tell you how fast you are moving in each ship relative axis individually as well. - Autopilot: Originally based on FixerID's autopilot system. Load a waypoint from your list and hit the Nav button. The ship goes there. - Approach: DarkyShadow's profiled motion approach script. By far the most reliable approach I have encountered. - Waypoints: 20 waypoint storage with a manual edit progress bar and copy/paste-able strings to pass to/from your friends quickly. - Galactic Alignment: Aligns you to Z+ forward Y+ up in case you want to go precisely forward into the belt. - Compass: Firestarr99's bubble compass on a text panel. - Scanning: New rock who dis? - Laser charging on fire: Just in case you forget to turn them on or get surprised, the ship automatically makes sure the lasers are charging if you try to fire. - All flight controlling software is built on a human priority control system so that you always have the final say. The ship can control the levers, but you can always override the ship just by using your normal keys. When you let go, the ship will resume any automated control. ## Hardware features include: - Four converged(500m) laser cannons, just in case you need to speak the local language. - The ability to go 150m/s with most full loads. 140m/s if you have a load full of Lukium. This thing is literally covered in thrusters. - Converging rangefinders to cover the high visibility cockpit without getting in the way. The always-on pointing lasers also double as a visual indicator of both asteroid size and distance. (note: Rangefinders do not show for those viewing the ship in Potato LOD. Pirates can't see them unless they are super close) - Laser Designator Translation Sensor for vectored speed and a Speedometer placed on a CoM so balanced that it doesn't move more than 1cm when the ship is loaded. - Dual FCU/MFC stacks for increased fuel efficiency. - 99% ducted connection with crate redundancy. Very Few pipes on the whole ship. Those wires that exist are primarily on the rangefinder cage for easy repair. - All custom bolted with an unladen strength factor of 42.069 for the memes. - Hidden bolt, high visibility dash board and cockpit layout. - Easy Access service tunnel to get through the interior of the ship. - Rotationally aligned yolol chips and fuel rod spares: No mucking about with orientation, just put the thing in the spot and get on with your life. Yolol is facing away from the cockpit for that little extra frame-rate. - Refuel point for easy prop tank refilling in the field. - Passenger seat with easy access to the reverse lever for unforeseen circumstances. - Scalable modular design. Add or remove rings to fit your needs. I like this configuration best but, I'm not your dad, do what you want. In testing the original ship flew well over 40 hours without touching the controls (or an asteroid of course) on automated flights out to ISAN limit and back to prove to myself and now you that this is a highly robust automated flight platform. Current version has been used everyday for about 6 months and all versions have a usage lifetime measured in years. Any purchasers who provide feedback that gets included into the ship get rewards scaling with value of the input(including unadvertised BP's and beta testing for future models). All code is available for review in the link at the top of the page as I believe any safety system worth its salt should stand up to public inquiry. Test flights upon request. The Yith is a 8 gun medium meta fighter seeing multiple changes over patches to Starbase. The Mk3 is an evolution to apply better counters to high end weapons. Comes in autocannon, laser and plasma variants. Final free ship to be released everyday leading up to Eos Con. //Download// https://github.com/Open-Source-Armada/OSA-Yith-Mk3 //Specs// 8 mounted weapons with a staggered fire trigger system. Shoot_1+ and Shoot_2+ are your triggers, bind these to your weapon hotkey (space by default). Rapidfire button switches between staggered fire (gun 2 will stagger behind gun 1 creating a machine gun effect) and alpha strike (both guns fire together). BoostMin and BoostMax act as a aim keybind without yolo (yolo is avoided where possible due to the 0.2 delay) these should ALWAYS be bound to the same key. Ship is set to both fly and aim at a smooth sensitivity (tune to your taste), Boost keybind removes these limits allowing for faster pitch/yaw. This can be altered to be the more common method of aiming, having higher sense as standard, and having the ships pitch/yaw slow down for aiming. (Swap the BoostMin/BoostMax Off values with its On values, remember to set it in the pitch/yaw lever fields too) Armoured using known methods of meta plating, including big plate health, voxel armour, segmented and layered plating and plasma/rail sacrifice plates. Its primarily plated using a char core with alloys across the front face of the ship, alloys are on the second side/rear armour. 132 m/s max speed using T2 thrusters. 2187055.25 kg in weight. Two small prop tanks for 2 million prop, 40 mins estimated flight time. 4 T1 fuel chamber, 8 T1 generators, 8 T1 enhancers, 1 hour 10 mins estimated fight time. Basic script for current Fuel/Prop times. Uses basic FCU, no reverse, uses 2 MFC/FCU groups, still isolates roll from main thruster pack for fast turning, no need to rebind roll keys. It is also the edge of affordability, past the 8 gun size, it holds less value to go cheap, as the cost of a large ship warrant a increase of higher tier components and late game weapons. The 8 gun is the default fleet ship in small to large battles, large enough that any size ship must respect its damage, but being deadly to anything smaller. It is paramount that you adopt a more aggressive combat style for larger ships, you are packing heat, your job is to hit the most vital targets on the field, and kill them. Evasion is way less important in a ship of size, reserved only for collisions and the largest of ships targeting you. Focus fire between two 8 gun ships is devastating, it very quickly begins to add up, well executed focus fire can bring down even the biggest of ships (like VIR's Borg Cube) My combat experience has shown me that running fighters in at least pairs is incredibly effective, focus firing on two ships that match is tricky, and can increase the survival rate of ships in fleet fights. The Yith is made for this, it has cheap autogun versions that can be built on mass, and more expensive versions will look exactly the same as the cheap, they wont be able to focus the plasma until its too late. Engage targets in a sideways orbit, this keeps your thickest voxel armour facing your target, and presents the slimmest dimensions to aim at.
