The SURFACEUR is a ship specialized in mining the surface of the moons. After several months of development within our corporation we offer you the latest version, the Mk8!
With these 3 laser arms installed in staggered rows with a gap of 36cm between each laser, one passage of the Surfaceur is enough to mine 99% of ores present in the ground. To achieve this result, many solutions were tried. The drill type surface miners are too slow, too dependent on server performance (lag) and finally not efficient. That's why we chose the solution of “sweeping” the floor. With an adjustable mining depth between 10 and 20m it will be a real scar that you will leave behind and this in AFK mode, moreover, this orientation allows the possibility of working with 2 ships at the same time.

Main features :
- 2 completelly fonctionnal cockpits to suit your needs / have redundancy.
- Sensitivity Setting.
- Auto Landing (Leave your cap ship, target the moon's center and let your ship land safely).
- Mining lasers length adjustment (between 10 and 20m).
- Auto advance (You can change SpeedMin,SpeedMax, ForceForward, ForceBackward). Very important, these settings are differents depending on the moon. Grounds haven’t the same density.
- Auto Stop Timer As this ship can work alone, you can select the mining time (10min, 20min, 60min, etc...).
- Ground Protection (The ship go up when rangefinders measure a distance from the ground of less than a configurable distance).
- Front Protection (During a mining session, the ship stops when it detects an obstacle).
- Big Front Screen for custom text
- Fuel and Gas Protection (less than 30% orange light, less than 10% red light and the ship stop).

We chose to sell the BP rather than the ship to allow you to modify it as you wish. This unfortunately exposes us to a massive sharing of BP beyond our control. We therefore rely on the fact that the starbase community is mature and respectful of the designers' work.

This is truly a great ship! I haven't regretted buying this for a minute. I even think that you are selling this blueprint too cheap. The ship paid for itself on the very first trip for ore, heh.
Pros: fine tuning for surface density and relief. Intuitive and simple, but at the same time effective control. In reality, I piloted ships that were much more difficult to master and were less efficient. Very big autonomy!
Of the minuses: in the event of a collision, all the slats with lasers fly off at once. However, I don't think that variable angle lasers can be attached more firmly. And this ship was not created for accidents. It performs quite well even on very difficult terrain.
