The happy player becomes a sad player, and in his grief, he dived into the Ship Designer. After he borrowed parts from his friends, he created a monster to unleash on the pirates. The result is a massive heavily armored assault ship featuring 16 laser cannons, a generator that can support continuous firing, internal space for more ammo or for your battle buddies, and flat top deck for tripod weapons. If you are not short on credits and want to melt ships with your friends on a Sunday mining trip, this is the ultimate toy for you. (SHIP IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING TESTING WITH BUGFIXES AND HEAT MECHANIC) Hello everyone, First off, thank you to everyone in the community who has helped me with all the questions here and there. There is a lot to know and learn in this game and I would not have completed this ship without the communities help! This is the 4th iteration of the original ship that I started with. It has 774 Solar Panel's that I have seen peak over 17,000 which is around 13.6 free generator's and no added heat! I have been mining at the Moon with this ship and have been mining purely off solar, and never touch the fuel rods. Obviously this is circumstantial, but its been my experience playing and flying this ship for the past two weeks. I have been out mining with it in Zone5 before this iteration and it was able to do over 2200km without needing to refil propellant. With this current iteration, I have made several modifications to it. Updated Asteroid Approaching so you can point at an Asteroid and have the ship take you to it safely with visual indicators Upgraded all Generators and Fuel Chambers from T2 to T3. Added additional coverage on Enhancers for heat reduction and fuel rod efficiency. Added 4 additional Robotic mining arms that retract/extend from within the body of the ship. Added additional range finders to blind spots I found by smashing into asteroids. Updated the ISAN to v4 which supports 15 Waypoints "I know v5 is out, but I personally hardily use it." Refined the Status screen to show errors, warp class, and status on mining bay doors opened or closed. Added the 'Wiggle' system, which makes the mining arms wiggle :) "You can turn this off to force the lasers to converge for manual use" Added safety features to ensure mining arms do not activate from within the belly of the ship when its retracted. Refined the efficiency of the ship further. Added laser velocity control "how fast it moves side to side" So what is this ship and why is it called the Drake? For those that have played Star Citizen, you will know Drake. Drake makes solid ships that well, don't look the best! It may not look like an Origin ship, but man is it functional. With previous versions of this ship I have smacked head on into asteroids with the Plasma's engaged going around 130m/s at the time "speed depends on what you are hauling" and the worst that happened was I lost a solar panel. This ship has been very good to me, and it is capable of getting out there several thousands of Kilometers. A cheap well armoured tripod ship, built to provide close air support to infantry, is a cheaper PvP option than most fighters. //Download// https://github.com/Open-Source-Armada/OSA-Shantak-Mk1 //Specs// Turret turntable for a tripod gun of choice, can be rotated 90 degrees left or right, buttons can be used using Tab + Mouse cursor while on the turret. Ship has enough power gen to fire any tripod continuously. BoostMin and BoostMax act as a aim keybind without yolo (yolo is avoided where possible due to the 0.2 delay) these should ALWAYS be bound to the same key. Ship is set to both fly and aim at a smooth sensitivity (tune to your taste), Boost keybind removes these limits allowing for faster pitch/yaw. This can be altered to be the more common method of aiming, having higher sense as standard, and having the ships pitch/yaw slow down for aiming. (Swap the BoostMin/BoostMax Off values with its On values, remember to set it in the pitch/yaw lever fields too) Armoured using known methods of meta plating, including big plate health, voxel armour and segmented and layered plating. Its primarily plated using char across the ship, alloys are on the side/rear armour. 145 m/s max speed using T2 thrusters, 141 with tripod + gunner. 964847.812 kg in weight. Attacking the ground in a typical meta fighter is far from ideal, where as a tripod ship can get closer and deploy fire on infantry. These ships often double as scouts and troop transport. The intent with this ship is to perform a constant pylon turn around the target area, while the gunner shoots to the side at infantry. Done right, the ship is never stationary for an easy hit with explosives, and the gunner is afforded a clear sight on the ground and horizon at all times. During live testing at the loot events, not one was shot down by infantry, and only a few were lost to fighters. When engaged by a fighter, you are at a disadvantage. To engage, perform a pylon turn as usual, keeping your speed as high as possible while your gunner fires.

Improved avoid system - you can set your speed, automatically brakes, evades, and then continues on your way. The standard so-loved approach that will take you to the asteroid with love and care The "Radar" system that will show on the screen in which direction the asteroid was seen and will give an audible notification Compass system, with a speedometer. The Nyarlathotep Mk1 is cheaper in almost every mat used in construction, making it an easier purchase and a less costly loss if pirated. It is recommended by myself to keep miners in the Elysium belt, and avoid doing the gate run with them, instead using a hauler to avoid the loss of you money earner. With the introduction of hanger halls, setting up a dedicated fleet for a moon mining station is easier than ever, and opens the door to acquiring the mats to make a cap ship yourself. Both hauler and miner still hold there value as cap ship companions. This ship still costs rare mats, but is noticeably cheaper than most plasma haulers, which can be an expensive investment. If doing the gate run, it is recommended to only go solo when empty, and have your full speed to avoid most pirates, but ultimately your awareness is the key difference in making it past a choke point. Unless followed from your location in the belt, returning fully loaded is perfectly safe bar pilot error in gravity, allowing you to make way more than you risk loosing after a one or two runs. Ship could be modified to be even cheaper, but i personally value the weight loss and faster gen ramp up T3 gens provide.

Featuring fully autonomous mining scripts, including dynamically self adjusting mining speed to account for changing ship weight, and a smart mining array that is perfectly tuned to work on any moon or location. Mining speed tolerances can be easily adjusted in the cockpit, allowing the user to choose how smooth or how fast the trench is dug.
