It is the natural next step in AS development of specialized surface miners as the pinnacle of surface drill mining. It retains the ability to drill downwards autonomously, improves in ergonomics by streamlining movement between decks, capitalizes on the latest materials to reduce the bulk of its signature massive laser drill and utilizes the saved voxels for more crates. With modern advancements in surface drill ship design, the MkII is better adapted to its role with a tapering rear end housing a proper mining cockpit and a smaller 24-laser drill. 6 lasers have been moved to the side onto optionally manned mining turrets, used for widening the pit it drills itself into, or for precision mining of leftover ore in the pit walls by endo control. Downwards speed is slower than its predecessor, but it now excavates a wider pit and reduces time spent pickaxing. Its predecessor's horizontal/vertical flight mode switch has been removed in order to simplify flight control systems, as it was a feature often left unused in practice. Low footprint (width and height), equipped with loads of useful scripts, ISAN, Forward/Back Flight, Power Management, Approach, Material Scan (AS) with stacks displayed, Asteroid Collision Avoidance System (ACAS), Turtle mode, Full power mode. Bind a key to AS for scan and Approach to simultaneously enable both systems. When the asteroid is in range, punch LASER and the magic starts. Two front white lights turn on, Approach and Scan are disabled, 4 lasers start making circular patterns, and two collectors engage. 30 seconds after you disable the lasers, the collectors will disengage and the mining light will shut off. This ship was built with accessibility in mind. There is a rear bay with accessibility to batteries, hydro tanks and rear engines. There is a front bay for easy access to front wiring and a crafting table. There are engine bay doors on the top for access to the top of the generator stack and sockets. Ship is decked out with 12 tier 1 generators, 4 core chambers and 8 racks for extra cores. 12,000,000 Hydrogen from 12 small hydro tanks, a whopping 42 batteries that keep the 4 lasers blasting away for 16.5 seconds, none of this pulsing nonsense. If pulsing is your thing, there is an extra chip bolted to the wall to the right of the YOLOL stack, just slot it in and adjust the names of your lasers to "Las1" and "Las2", the lasers will continually alternate firing.

The DAMk4P is a tried and true workhorse. This function first ship has proven sturdy and reliable in the harshest conditions. They have been taken all over the universe: Elysium, Szellem, Alstel, Neso, Chemosh, Kumi, and more. From Elysium deathzones to wrangling asteroids in belts where you and the rocks are fighting gravity, this ship has seen it all. That being said, this is an old model. [The latest edition is the DAMk5P.](https://sb-creators.org/makers/Thaccus/ship/DAMk5P) ## Software Features include: - Asteroid Avoidance: Single line (0.2s response time) code with prioritization should two opposing sides detect, feel free to grill me on this as safety is my number one concern. - Approach: DarkyShadow's profiled motion approach script. By far the most reliable approach I have encountered. - Waypoints: 20 waypoint storage with a manual edit progress bar and copy/paste-able strings to pass to/from your friends quickly. - Autopilot: Originally based on FixerID's autopilot system, all you have to do is load a waypoint from your list and hit the Nav button. The ship goes there. - Galactic Alignment: Aligns you to Z+ forward Y+ up in case you want to go precisely forward into the belt. Also comes with alignment vector progress bars so that you can manually align to whatever orientation you like. - Compass: Firestarr99's legendary bubble compass on a text panel. It's a home run and everyone who has seen it has loved the visual feedback of where their waypoints are. - Scanning: New rock who dis? - Laser charging on fire: Just in case you forget to turn them on or get surprised, the ship automatically makes sure the lasers are charging if you try to fire. - Automatic AAS on Cruise and Cruise cancel on full brake - Speedometer: MoriWatari's CargoLock frame speedometer. Reliable and accurate. - All flight controlling software is built on a human priority control system so that you always have the final say. The ship can control the levers, but you can always override the ship just by using your normal keys. When you let go, the ship will resume any automated control. - High density memory backup fields for button states: 8 memory chips worth of fields for less than the mass of one chip and its lightest chip slot. The always-on pointing lasers also double as a visual indicator of both asteroid size and distance. (note: Rangefinders do not show for those viewing the ship in Potato LOD. Pirates can't see them unless they are super close) - Dual FCU/MFC stacks for increased fuel efficiency - 99% ducted connection with crate redundancy. Very Few pipes on the whole ship and wires primarily on the rangefinder cage for easy repair. - All custom bolted with a strength factor of 42.069 for the memes. - Hidden bolt, high visibility dash board and cockpit layout. - Easy Access service tunnel to get through the interior of the ship. - Rotationally aligned yolol chips and fuelrod spares: No mucking about with orientation, just put the thing in the spot and get on with your life. - Refuel point for easy prop tank refilling in the field. - Passenger seat with easy access to the reverse lever for unforeseen circumstances. - Scalable modular design. Add or remove rings to fit your needs. I like this configuration best but, I'm not your dad, do what you want. In testing this ship has flown well over 40 hours without touching the controls (or an asteroid of course) on automated flights out to ISAN limit and back to prove to myself and now you that this is a highly robust automated flight platform. In practice, this ship has been used everyday for months. Thank you to everyone who has tested this ship, and a special thanks to Sinsidious for his exceptional dedication to the testing and development of this craft. La Citerne is a mining ship adapted for Elysium (the first moon). The ship is equipped with heavy armor with a basic armament of 4 auto cannons. A conscious decision has also been made to prioritize wet speed over range through the use of T3 thrusters, with the goal of reducing turnaround time and improving credit yields over time to offset the increased refuelling costs. Note that the ship lacks an avoidance system and is not optimized for unsafe zone operation, so fly carefully if you choose to do so. Thaccus' NavSuite will also be a feature, enabling autopilot back to your Origin of choice after choosing your 3 T10 asteroids. The ship also features a credit yield per load calculator that estimates the total income for each individual asteroid you have loaded up, based partially on Egomaniac's yield calculator found on his asteroid haulers. It takes time to do its job, but it gives you a good idea of how much credits you're bringing in per run, and coupled with the onboard timer can help you to better understand your earnings over time. Note: Buyers with non-English language settings may need to change the ore names on the chips to reflect their language for the yield calculator to work correctly.
